Background and Aim: In patients with complete denture, some clinicians have used modelling plastic impression compound (MPIC) along tissue conditioner (TC) materials simultaneously. Little information is available on the composition of these materials and the interaction between them. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of two components of MPIC on the structure and chemical composition of TC.Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, MPIC specimens were provided in 25×2 mm discs. Specimens were randomly divided into three groups and were immersed in ethanol 70%, plasticizer (dibutyl phthalate) and a mixture of them (ethanol 70% and dibutyl phthalate). All of the discs were weighed with a digital balance before and 2, 4, 6 and 24 hours after immersion. Values were analyzed by non parametric Kruskal-Wallis (a= 0.05) and SPSS 16 for Windows (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL) was used for statistical analysis. Results: Statistical analysis indicated significant differences among all groups (p>.05).Conclusion: Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) had high impact on the solubility of MP, while the mixture of dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and ethanol demonstrated the highest impact.

Background and Aim: There are different methods of oral health education for child population. Theater show is a method that has not received enough attention until now. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of using theater show on dental health education in Yazd female elementary students.Materials and Methods: This was a quasi experimental study performed by using pre- and post-test method in Iran over the year 2004. One elementary school from each region of the city was selected. Twenty students from each grade of each school were included in the study (n=200). The information on knowledge, attitudes and practice of oral health were collected by using a valid and reliable questionnaire before and after theater show performance. Data were analyzed using SPSS and Wilcoxon signed rank test. Results: This study showed that the theater show could improve knowledge, attitude and proper oral health practice of children. The effect of the theater show on knowledge was more than attitude and was more on attitude than practice (P<0.001). Only literacy on the part of mothers was significantly correlated with practice (P=0.021). There were significant correlations between Knowledge (P=0.020), Attitude (P=0.0001) and oral health Practice (P=0.022) with students' grade level. Conclusion: This study showed that using theater show for oral health education, could improve the oral health related knowledge, attitude and proper oral health practice by elementary school students.

Abstract:

Growth analysis is a valuable method in the quantitative analysis of crop growth, development and crop production. In order to evaluate effects of nitrogen rates and plant density on physiological growth indices of safflower, an experiment was conducted at Khorramabad, Lorestan province in 2008. The experiment was carried out as split plot in basis of randomized complete block design with four replications. Three nitrogen application rates were as main plots (N1=control, N2=75 and N3=150 kg/ha net nitrogen) and plant density was as sub plots in 3 levels (D1=40, D2=50 and D3=60 plant/m2). The growth degree day index was used to examine more closely fitting growth curves using non-linear regression models. Appropriate model was selected for each growth index. The results showed that application of nitrogen led to increasing of growth indexes including leaf area, total dry matter and crop growth rate. But, net assimilation rate was reduced. Growth indexes such as, leaf area, total dry matter, did not change with increasing plant density, due to branching of safflower. However, crop growth and net assimilation rate were reduced in plants. Overall, the results show that applied nitrogen has a more positive effect on safflower growth index compared to density changes.

(Percentage of non-overlapping data) PND

Abstract:

A tumor cannot grow more than a few millimeters without a blood supply (avascular tumor), and for further growth it must initiate angiogenesis process. A vascularized tumor, which is permeated with blood vessels, rapidly increases in mass because of the new source of oxygen. In this study, a discrete mathematical model of angiogenesis process with considering the penetration of blood flow through the vessels in the two-dimensional network is presented. This structure is coupled with an adaptive model of sprouts spacing along the parent blood vessel at the beginning of the angiogenesis process. Then, progression of these sprouts in the extracellular matrix and their penetration into the tumor as well as penetration of blood flow through the capillary structure is presented. This model incorporates three steps of adaptive sprout spacing along the parent blood vessel, sprout progression, and blood flow and network remodeling. Then, based on the simulated vasculature network, oxygen transmission and other vital chemicals needed for continuous tumor growth are simulated. In this model we assumed that the growth of the tumor is driven by cell division. The tumor growth and angiogenesis are coupled by the changes of micro environment including oxygen, tumor growth factor, and the extracellular matrix concentration. Also, we have tried to create space and time adaptations in parameters of the model.

Abstract:

Different types of contact, including contact between node pairs, any-contact of nodes, and contacts of the entire network, are used to characterize social relations in mobile social networks. Different modes of routing, from the point of view of message delivery semantics, encompass unicasting, multicasting, any-casting, and broadcasting. Studies have shown that using probability distribution functions of contact data, which is mainly assumed to be homogeneous for nodes, improves the performance of these networks. However, there exists an important challenge in studies on distributions. A lot of works apply the distribution of one type of contact to other types. Hence in routing applications, it causes to use of the distribution of one type of contact for any mode of routing. This study provides a complete solution to model each type of homogeneous contact data distribution and to use them in different modes of routing. We propose a routing algorithm that uses this new model. Results show that our solution improves the average latency of comparing methods Epidemic, TCCB, and DR about 3.5-times, 30%, and 45%, respectively. It achieves a delivery rate of about 5% and 6%, and average latency about 6% and 8% better than that of DR and TCCB, respectively.

Abstract:

To investigate the response of corn to combined application of chemical fertilizers with rhizobacteria plant growth promoting, an experiment was conducted in 2017 at Research farm of Agricultural and Natural Resources Campus of Tehran University, Karaj, Iran, in a randomized complete block design with four replications. Four nutritional treatments including T1 (Control treatment without applying fertilizer), T2 (Just PGPRs), T3 (Use chemical fertilizers based on soil test) and T4 (T3 + PGPRs) were considered. According to the results, the highest total dry weight (3.9 kg/m2), crop growth rate (79.8 g.m-2.day-1), net assimilation rate (15.3 g.m-2.day-1) and grain yield (18.2 ton.ha-1) were observed in T4 treatment and T2 treatment produced the highest  leaf area index (5.3), leaf area duration (205.2) and specific leaf weight (78.5 g.m-2) . Also, the lowest value of all traits was observed in in T1 (control) treatment. The results showed that the presence of rhizobacteria plant growth promotioninduction in the corn nutrition program increased the growth and growth indices of the plant. Combined application of chemical fertilizers with rhizobacteria plant growth promoting resulted in the highest growth and final grain yield of corn.
